Contrast by Design

The title says it plainly: Static and Gold pairs a fuzzed-out rhythm guitar with a clean, almost bell-like lead line, letting the two textures argue with each other across the track. It's a study in contrast more than a straightforward single.

Two Rigs, One Session

Alex Rivera tracked both parts in the same session, switching rigs mid-take to keep the tonal gap as sharp as possible — fuzz pedal on one pass, clean amp channel on the next.

The Payoff

Neither part would work as well on its own; the tension between them is the whole idea.

A single built on contrast — fuzzed-out rhythm guitar against a clean, bell-like lead line, both tracked in the same session on two rigs.
